2022 included multiple efforts at trying to turn low-quality plain white skulls into something with a bit more character:
the local cemetery has a beautiful statue that inspired this addition:
over the years, piles of plastic pumpkins had accumulated, and needed to become something a bit more coherent....the 'jack stack' was born
The desire for a water feature / centerpiece to enhance the 'gothic' nature of the display resulted in the fountain...lots of work from the heat gun for this prop
