Beneath the beguiling music it plays, are subtle and manipulative whispers luring its victims with promises of fame and fortune; it entices, binds, and feeds on struggle and suffering.

simultaneously, acting as an allegory for today's influencers, advertisers, talking heads, hucksters, and general peddlers of nonsense of all types, and in every forum and platform.

It is a stand-in for any and all manipulators of human frailty; the exploiters and amplifiers of fear, greed, pride, vanity, ego.

from innocent cherubs spellbound by the glowing object in its hand, to the angel bound by rusted chains, scattered throughout the display were representations of trapped souls, allusions to Faustian bargains, trickery and general manipulation.
